We cried because he had been gone, lifeless, for the three days I was in induced labor waiting to meet him. They cried because they were with me every step of the way, checked on me even when their shift was over, some of them could relate, and they were the biggest support when we had questions or hopes that would never come true. Then, when we miscarried our OB (Dr. Branaman) and the nurses cried with us again because they knew the pain we had been through and were going through struggling to get pregnant and then, again, a loss. The last time my doctor cried with me, was when I gave birth to my second son, Emery. It was over 16 hours of another induced labor, a stubborn boy, and lack of oxygen...but he came and as he was laid on my chest we heard the most beautiful sound, a cry from our sweet son. As I heard this I bawled with insurmountable joy, and then so did my nurses around me and Dr. B. She shared our pain and our joy every day from the moment we met. This vulnerability from her, and so many others, gave us strength and allowed us to do the same. It helped us heal and we are forever grateful and blessed for them all.kedraraehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10357024329652781960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7234725037876346084.post-84187007798725106902018-04-15T10:39:00.903+10:002018-04-15T10:39:00.903+10:00Such a beautiful piece. Our friends are the parents on the baby boy you spoke about and your heartfelt words tells me that God had a hand in connecting you with them. I like to believe there are more doctors out there like you. Doctors that pray for their patients and truly care about their healing on a deeper level. I myself have not been fortunate enough to come across ant such doctors but I am still hopeful. Thanks again for this fantastic piece.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
